The Jah Prophets are a conscious rap group from Glace Bay , NS. It Started with Kenzie Coombes
former drummer of Taunted Youth and 25% off,and Malcolm Macleod in Augest, 2001.Mark Joined in october 2002.
.Odd enough we started writting right before the traggic 9/11, but we used the attacks
as a early example in our rhymes to express how humanidy is made up of that ying-yang, negative and posative equality,
wich is the truth we rhyme about.That truth is what makes us Jah Phrophets, rhyming the equal
ONE truth we not just think of or see, but actually are and have known for infinity and so
we create by twisting and putting our fate together day by day. We share our rhymes for entertainment
while expressing a message of self-awareness and awareness of life.Lived exposed to drug world at young
ages of 11 or 12, seeing the cruel and beautiful world fron certain perspectives and higher states awareness
and consciousness, enjoying life as we write our rhymes and Kenzie Produces the
beats and songs, useing only fruity loops and cool edit pro. no bugget what so ever.
We only have a few not too bad sounding tracks but are after putting about 25 beats together with all the lyrics we are ready to record it all up, probly doing half here in cape breton , and the
rest in Halifax, but not finished recording yet.Once we finish we are gonna release it as best as we can
across Canada.
